Abstract

Inclusive education and special education in Brazil and around the world have evolved significantly in recent decades. In Brazil, legislation has been developing to implement and enforce inclusive education throughout the country, granting everyone the right to participate in national schooling, that is, regular education at all levels. Unfortunately, many obstacles remain to its implementation in the country's current reality, such as the lack of preparation of teachers and schools to accommodate individuals with special needs or learning disabilities.
