The article, which will address the topic of corporate mergers and acquisitions, aims to answer the following question: how do corporate M&As occur? Thus, the main objective of this project is to identify how they occur, their motivations, strategies, and pertinent changes, visualizing each process and their internal impacts. In addition to the relationships between each process, it also addresses the changes that can occur in corporate culture and communication. The theoretical frameworks covered concepts regarding the types of M&As, the different strategies of each model, the evaluation of specific companies, the ventures that have opted for them and achieved success, and change management in the context of the scenario, whether acquisitions or mergers alone. Books and articles were used for the project, using data collected through surveys of companies that have undergone these mergers and acquisitions. Thus, the knowledge gained through the process can be used to identify trends, patterns, and critical success factors. The adopted methodology will combine empirical bibliographic research, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of mergers and acquisitions processes and associated challenges. The conclusion is that M&A methods seek strategies to maintain market share or expand the business.
