We know that a school that excludes and discriminates among its students is no longer acceptable, as everyone is "special," each bringing their own differences, fears, and desires. In light of this, this article aims to understand the importance of school inclusion as a fundamental social practice for the healthy functioning of the society in which we live. The research sought to identify the factors that influence social inclusion and social factors by analyzing scientific works published between 2016 and 2020 in Scielo. This is a systematic review, using structured descriptors in DeCS and MeSH. Data collection took place in April 2021. Scientific articles were the inclusion criteria, and articles that did not address the topic under study were the exclusion criteria. Therefore, schools must be stimulating, where students feel safe and welcomed, thus ensuring true inclusion, since access to and continued attendance is a right for all.
