Abstract

The mental health of older adults is a topic that needs to gain scientific relevance, as these individuals are increasingly suffering from mental health problems. This study analyzed scientific publications published between 2018 and 2022 on the VHL, Scielo, and Capes Journals websites, aiming to identify the main causes of mental health problems in older adults. This is an integrative systematic review. The descriptors were structured in DeCS and MeSH. Data collection took place in September 2022. The inclusion criteria were scientific articles. The exclusion criteria were articles that did not address the topic of older adult mental health. It is hoped that new studies will provide a new perspective on promoting older adult mental health.
