IMPORTANCE OF USING DRONES FOR SEED DISPERSAL IN REFORESTATION OF THE RIPARIAN FOREST OF THE SÃO MIGUEL RIVER

Abstract

Reforestation and riparian forest preservation are essential actions for environmental conservation and the sustainability of natural resources. This study analyzed scientific publications published between 2018 and 2022 on Google Scholar, Scielo, and PubMed. The objective of this research was to present the importance of using drones for seed dispersal in the reforestation of the riparian forest of the São Miguel River, through an integrative systematic review. The descriptors were structured in DeCS and MeSH. Data collection took place in September 2023. The inclusion criteria were scientific articles on the topic. The exclusion criteria were scientific articles that did not address the topic. Therefore, we hope to invest in reforestation and riparian forest preservation actions using drones, which can be essential to ensuring a sustainable future, with preserved natural resources and a better quality of life for future generations.
