Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the logistics of spare parts for grain harvesting in Roraima, seeking to understand the main challenges faced, as well as identify opportunities for improvement in logistics management and planning of agricultural operations. An analysis of purchase records of parts made by rural producers between 2020 and 2023 was conducted. The results demonstrate that components such as bearings, belts, seals, and screws represent the greatest demands during the production cycle, highlighting the importance of preventive maintenance, which should begin one month before the start of the harvest. It was identified that June and July concentrate the highest volume of acquisitions, an ideal period to guarantee stock availability and avoid stoppages during peak activity. The study also highlights the role of strategic suppliers, such as INA, Timken, and Gates, in supporting the local spare parts supply chain. It concludes that advance planning and efficient inventory management are determining factors for reducing operational costs, increasing productivity, and ensuring the continuity of agricultural operations in Roraima.
