Introduction: Audiovisual is a tool with widespread functionality in both teaching and learning strategies and in health promotion and education measures. When applied in language that reflects the context in which it will be transmitted, it facilitates listener engagement and understanding. The use of rhyming verses in stanzas is a popular form of language that arouses curiosity and improves communication between participants. Objective: To present reflections on the preceptorship activities of nursing professionals in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a Teaching Maternity Hospital. Methodology: The animated video was produced during the Research and Development of Educational Products I and II course of the Professional Master's Program in Health Education (MPES-FAMED-UFAL). All stages of the video production were evaluated by the Program's students and faculty, who acted as judges in the evaluation that resulted in the final product. All stages of the animated video were submitted to the Electronic Validation Process (EVP), which was conducted synchronously on the Google Meet platform during the Research and Development of Educational Products II course (held from February 3, 2022, to March 10, 2022), offered in the first semester of 2022, with a total workload of 30 hours, as part of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Education (MPES-FAMED-UFAL). Results: the video connects with its target audience by using rhyming language, a typical manifestation of Northeastern culture. Rhyme is a stylistic device widely used in verse-structured texts, such as poems and songs. This resource is used to give texts greater sonority, rhythm, and musicality. The video "Preceptorship at Neonatal I'm Going to Speak..." was presented to nursing professionals at the Maternity Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit during discussion groups held during the nurses' work shifts. The professionals' acceptance and receptiveness were satisfactory, confirming their identification with the discourse presented in the video. The video remains available for both viewing and sharing among professionals through digital media platforms and already has 467 views and 136 comments on its YouTube page. Therefore, the video allows for the dissemination and expansion of the content and the reflection sparked by the verses presented. The product is being used in in-service training by the continuing education department of the institution where the research was conducted. Final considerations: The production of the video "Preceptorship at Neonatal I'm Going to Speak" prompts reflection on the daily context of the nursing workforce in intensive care units. The video is expected to support discussions among institutions, professionals, and students for the continuous and ongoing improvement of the Residency Program and the quality of care provided at the Maternity Hospital where this research was conducted.
