Abstract

This Literature Review (LR), conducted based on the PRISMA guidelines, analyzed 23 studies (2015-2025) on low-cost analog games (e.g., printed, projected, or drawn cards and boards) applicable to architecture and urban planning education, with a focus on innovative pedagogical practices. The objective was to map the applications, benefits, and challenges of these tools to support the development of accessible educational tools in Brazilian contexts with budgetary constraints. The results show that analog games promote creative learning, collaboration, and motivation, integrating technical concepts into practical disciplines in a creative way. Despite challenges such as adaptation in classrooms with limited resources, the tool's accessibility is convenient for educational contexts with limited technological resources. The findings support the development of an artifact in the form of a pedagogical game, proposed in the doctoral thesis in development that prompted this article, which fosters the acquisition of technical-theoretical repertoire through creative learning using active methods.
