DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN HEALTHCARE: USE OF APPS AND MOBILE TECHNOLOGIES IN PATIENT MONITORING: A NARRATIVE LITERATURE REVIEW

Introduction: Digital transformation has promoted significant changes in the healthcare sector, especially with the advancement of mobile technologies and applications focused on patient monitoring. These tools enable remote monitoring, greater adherence to treatment, and increased access to healthcare services. This study aims to analyze, through a narrative literature review, the role of mobile applications and technologies in patient monitoring and their impacts on clinical practice. Methodology: A search was conducted in scientific databases using descriptors related to digital health, mobile applications, and remote patient monitoring. Results and Discussion: The results show that these technologies contribute to the monitoring of chronic diseases, improved communication between patients and healthcare professionals, and optimized clinical decision-making. However, challenges related to data security, technological accessibility, and regulation still represent barriers to their widespread implementation. Final Considerations: It is concluded that the use of mobile technologies represents a promising strategy to strengthen healthcare, especially in the context of telemedicine and personalized medicine.
