Abstract

This article discusses ageism as a social and educational problem within the context of ENADE 2025, emphasizing the need for teacher education committed to intergenerational inclusion and the appreciation of life trajectories. Based on authors such as Paulo Freire, José Carlos Libâneo, Magda Soares and Jean Piaget, as well as normative documents such as the BNCC and Brazilian educational legislation, the paper analyzes the role of schools and educators in promoting practices that challenge stereotypes related to age. The study concludes that education must be understood as a permanent and emancipatory process capable of integrating individuals of all ages and contributing to a more just, democratic, and humanized society.
