This article analyzes the intersections between public education policies and oil exploration off the coast of Amapá, focusing on technical vocational education, employability, and economic development. The discovery of the Equatorial Margin presents a scenario of opportunities and challenges, requiring an in-depth analysis of how human capital formation can drive sustainable and inclusive regional development. The possibilities for job and income generation, infrastructure investments, and the expansion of vocational education will be discussed, as well as the challenges related to environmental and social sustainability, the risk of "Dutch disease," and the retention of local talent. The research seeks to propose actions for a strategic educational policy that maximizes the benefits of oil exploration for the population of Amapá.
